Reading Strategies

 

I am stuck on a word and need help! What do I do?

​

• Look through the whole word.

• Stretch out the word by sounding it out!

• Look at how the word begins!

• Look for words or letter combinations that you already know!

• Re-read the sentence from the beginning!

• Read to the end of the sentence and then go back to figure out what makes sense!

Don't give up! 
                          Keep on trying! 
                                                       You will figure it out!
